For the tenth time, TCG has been recognized as one of the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. This accolade is based on a survey evaluating financial and leave support for adoption and foster care, as well as the percentage of eligible employees. TCG is ranked 38th out of 100.

TCG is a strong proponent of family-friendly benefits, offering substantial support for both adoptive and foster parents.

•  Adoptive parents receive up to $20,000 per child to cover expenses such as agency fees, legal costs, and travel. 
• For foster care, TCG provides $1,000 of assistance in the first year and up to $2,000 for families with multiple foster children.
•  Employees can contribute up to $16,810 of pre-tax income annually to a flexible spending account for related expenses, facilitated by TCG’s assistance program. 
• Additionally, adoptive parents are entitled to twelve weeks of paid leave and access to emergency childcare services.

The 2024 list includes a diverse group of organizations representing 22 industries. Survey participants offer an average of $16,422 in financial reimbursement for adoption costs, up 10% from 2023. The average amount of paid leave for adoptive parents is 9.6 weeks, an increase of 6% since 2023.

The amount of paid leave offered to foster parents is an average of 9.7 weeks, up 3% from 2023. More companies are incorporating foster parent leave into their overall paid leave program and offering them the same amount of time off as adoptive and biological parents.
