TCG Awarded $5.6 Million SEC Data Visualization Task Order

Will Support Data Visualization and Knowledge Sharing throughout SEC

TCG is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Data Visualization and Insights task order from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The task order, issued on the SEC Quantitative Research Analytical Data Support (QRADS) IDIQ program, is worth $5.6 million over four years. The TCG team will provide project management, data analysis, data visualization, web development, and technical writing support for the SEC’s Data Insights and Data Visualization initiatives of the recently-created Office of the Chief Data Officer. These initiatives aim to make important analytical work done by SEC’s experts accessible throughout the Commission.

The mission of the SEC is to protect investors; maintain fair, orderly, and efficient markets; and facilitate capital formation. The TCG team will work with SEC staff to create and publish interactive, web-based visualizations and other digital content that will help streamline knowledge management and sharing throughout the Commission.

“Helping SEC experts in highly specialized fields to share data and knowledge across disciplinary lines is important to the agency’s mission,” said Daniel Turner, President of TCG. “We’re focused on improving the world around us, in big ways and small, every day. Through this task, the SEC will increase the visibility and dissemination of complex, analytical work throughout the Commission. That will ultimately help the agency promote a market environment that is worthy of the public’s trust and support the growth of the economy.”
