TCG Awarded $5m FCC Task for ECFS Modernization

TCG has been awarded a contract from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to modernize the Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS). The award is for $5 million over two years. The TCG team will modernize ECFS using AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, and other technologies.

FCC makes and enforces regulations governing the country’s communications infrastructure. Since 1992, the public and industry have used ECFS to submit comments on possible regulations. TCG will support the modernization of this system, ensuring it is flexible, scalable, and reliable. This will improve the way public comments are captured, categorized, and synthesized for analysis at the FCC.

“Public comments are an important aspect of the rulemaking process at the FCC,” said Daniel Turner, President of TCG. “We love to make key government systems better. The new ECFS will enhance citizens’ and business’s ability to interact with the FCC, and will streamline the agency’s ability to take in and process important information around a vital area of the country’s infrastructure.”
