The process of creating and executing the President’s Budget is a complex one, requiring streamlined collaboration with several hundred stakeholders. At any given time, government is managing budget activities for three fiscal years — the current year, next fiscal year, and the coming fiscal year — and each year’s budget is in a different stage in the process.

The interactive timeline below shows the entire budget process from formulation to execution, and all of the milestones required to manage the President’s Budget. This timeline also shows the software available to all government agencies that support key milestones in the budget process, facilitate intra- and interagency collaboration, and modernizes systems and practices.

This software includes the Budget Formulation and Execution Manager, tools from Max.gov, and the Apportionment Manager. In addition, TCG is a partner of OneStream, a market-leading CPM solution that unifies and simplifies financial consolidation, planning, reporting, analytics and financial data quality for sophisticated organizations.
