TCG CTO Dr. Butch Honored at 2014 Washington SmartCEO Executive Management Awards Ceremony

Recognized as One of 40 Top Executives in the Washington DC Area

Washington, DC, March 18, 2014:  TCG’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Robert “Butch” Buccigrossi, Ph.D., was honored as a winner at Washington SmartCEO’s 2014 Executive Management Awards ceremony. “Dr. Butch” and the other award winners were feted at the ceremony, which was held on March 13, 2014 at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. 

[img_assist|nid=282|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=100|height=39]The Washington SmartCEO Executive Management Awards honor outstanding C‑suite executives in four categories—CFO, CIO/CTO, COO, and CXO (other C‑suite executives)—for ethics, collaborative and creative leadership, and support of their organizations’ missions. An independent committee of local business leaders reviewed the nominations, and chose the winners. 

Butch has worked with TCG since its inception in 1994. As CTO, his goals are to promote consistent architecture standards and share lessons learned between development projects. He has also worked as technical lead on numerous TCG projects for customers such as the National Institutes of Health and Executive Office of the President.

“Each and every day Butch shows all of us how to work together in an intelligent fashion to provide excellent technical solutions for both our customers and our internal infrastructure,” said TCG president Dan Turner. “He is an inspiration to everyone at TCG and truly worthy of receiving this prestigious award.”
