TCG is pleased to offer remote employment in the following states: AL, AZ, CO, CT, DE, GA, HI, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NC, OH, OR, PA (excluding the City of Philadelphia), SC, TN, UT, VA, WV, and WI. Although this position is a full-time telecommuting position, the selected candidate will be required to travel to Washington, D.C. to pick up their work materials.

The Security Analyst will work with Enterprise Architect to create and maintain a detailed technical baseline and develop architecture policies, processes, and job aids along with recommended improvements and automation options specific to security.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Discovering and ensuring the proper operation of security tools throughout the enterprise such as Fortigate firewalls, ForeScout CounterAct, Fortify SCA/WebInspect, Trustwave DBProtect, and Tenable SC/IO/Nessus
  • Troubleshooting and configuration on Windows and Linux OSes
  • Reviewing tool operation and repairing issues discovered in the tool pipeline
  • Assist with creation of reports and dashboards from the tools.
  • Performing OS-level and application-level debugging and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of the organization’s tools

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of professional work experience, with at least 2 years in a security role
  • Professional level certification in at least one of the following: Fortigate firewalls, ForeScout CounterAct, Fortify SCA/WebInspect, Trustwave DBProtect, Tenable SC/IO/Nessus
  • Experience with administration and maintenance of these or similar security products: FortiGate firewalls, ForeScout CounterAct, Fortify SCA/WebInspect, Trustwave DBProtect, Tenable SC/IO/Nessus
  • Proven ability in Network and Windows/Linux OS troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of web protocols and the ability to perform diagnostics
  • Working knowledge of security-focused enterprise toolsets
  • Experience with various product installation, integration & support
  • Experience developing customized reports and dashboards
  • Ability to create system documentation for ongoing system management
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and diagnostic skills in a complex IT environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work directly with clients at all levels of an organization, including high-level internal and external stakeholders
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and a clear appreciation of end customer needs
  • Expertise in IT security implementation and compliance in a Federal government environment
  • One to two years of experience working with monitoring tools
  • Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity and a “helping others helps us all” personality
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word and other MS Office applications

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with information gathering and information monitoring, working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
  • Linux/Windows administration certifications, Splunk Power User, Offensive Security Certified Professionals (OSCP)
  • Working knowledge of web security best practices
  • Programming/development experience with Python or comparable language
  • Ability to create system documentation for ongoing system management

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience may be substituted in absence of a degree.
