US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.
This position is primarily remote but will require occasional in-person meetings. The selected applicant must live within commuting distance of Washington, D.C.
As a Contracts Analyst, you will assist the project management team with the daily operations and project financial management by using GAAP, FARS, and other accounting and Federal Government standards
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft, coordinate, and manage financial requirements documentation and justifications as defined by the Project and Program Manager — Burn rate and target drivers of project cost (i.e. efficiency, margins, etc.)
- Provide technical information and review to support the development of cost estimates.
- Support project team(s) and Program/Project Manager(s) by providing daily execution of assigned work functions.
- Support the review and development of aligning financial instructions to contract SOW
- Develop, manage, and support project schedules and milestones
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of three (3) years experience in accounting and/or financial management support in the federal government contracting arena
- Firm understanding of federal government business operations and work processes
- Knowledge of contract types, contract section structure, and fee structure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skills and experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with the Federal Managers’ Financial Integrity Act (FMFIA)
- Financial system requirements and analysis experience
- Budget execution and management experience
- Financial planning, analysis, and reporting experience
EDUCATION:
- A bachelor’s in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is required.
