COFAR, the Council on Financial Assistance Reform, has published a 10-page document, “Frequently Asked Questions for New Uniform Guidance at 2 CFR 200.” It addresses subjects as diverse as
- why did we issue new uniform guidance for grants?
- who did we talk to and who will be affected?
- how will grantmakers and grants recipients be affected?
- what grants will be affected, and when?
This document might be useful to people who want something more concise than the entire uniform guidance document. But I wonder if these are indeed frequently asked questions. Why don’t we call these things what they are, questions and answers about whatever the subject is. I mean, f*r*e*q*u*e*n*t*l*y asked? Pleeeze!
